Going Random on Blogger.com

As anyone reading this can see my blog for Bloggers Home Page (BHP) is hosted by Blogger.com. Every once in a while I sometimes click on the 'NEXT BLOG' menu icon and will be taken (randomly I assume) to another blog. I have decided to do this once a day and invite the randomly selected blogger to join BHP. I have previously (once or twice) contacted bloggers that I have come across whilst surfing and invited them to join Bloggers Home Page. It has worried me though that this personal choice would distort BHP towards my own interests, rather than those at large in the Blogosphere. On reflection, given that this is my website this issue will always exist but hopefully clicking the 'next blog' will maintain the random element.

STICK TO THE MIDDLE!
I have recently been in contact with a web designer to look at introducing some additional pages of content to make Bloggers Home Page the homepage it should be. I am expecting some feedback (costs) over the next few days. As any additional pages will usually mean extra menu icons which would be vertical columns, would any new bloggers to BHP avoid the extreme left and right of the page. In other words: stick to the middle!

SOME APOLOGIES

Firstly, apologies if you were unable to access the site as the host server was down for just over a day. This problem is now corrected.

Secondly, apologies for my lapse in posting. I have been busy over the last few days but this is really no excuse-I will try to make ammends and update more regularly.

It's great to welcome another WritingUp.com blogger, the latest being Betty Cotton. Writing Up has provided more bloggers than any other blog site/community. I am sure this is because Writing Up is dedicated to making money from publishing blogs and it's members see www.bloggershomepage.com as another way to publicise their blogs. (I take this vote of confidence as a compliment.) Whether you are trying to monetise your blog or not if it's worth writing it's worth publicising. Talking about publicity I would like to mention www.CommunityFundspot.com This is a new pixel advertising site geared primarily to helping non-profit and community organisations increase their visibility and gain needed resources. There are (I believe) still a few free ads to be had, so be quick and check them out! It's great to see a high quality and innovative pixel site for bloggers taking shape. Good luck Community Fund Spot!

As for the shape of Bloggers Home Page I am working on some extra content to provide more interest and substance. This should be ready in the next couple of weeks so stay tuned to this blog.
