Summer in the U.K. feels as if it's almost over after the heat-wave of the last few weeks. If you are about to head for warmer climes and will be taking pictures with your digital camera you will need batteries, preferably the rechargeable type. These are just about the most powerful rechargeable batteries you can buy. Argos until recently were charging £24.99 so this is a great price. If you already have a charger then Wilkinson sell the batteries in a pack of four for £6.99. This again compares very favourably with a recent Argos price of £11.99.

Wilkinson is a something of an undiscovered gem. Although they have around 250 stores in the U.K. and are growing at a rate of 20 new stores a year they are not well known. I have decided to use this blog to talk about consumer issues as well as news on Bloggers Home Page. I can't see the value in another blog that rants about personal thoughts and feelings as there are enough of these out on the Web already. I will use this space to write about products and deals that I belive to be outstanding or just great value for money. Hopefully this will be of use to someone.

A Step In The Right Direction

Some good news, after a couple of months of languishing in the nether regions of the Web whilst it was being redesigned, Bloggers Home Page is back with an Alexa ranking. As of today it stands at 1,080,416. This is still low-to be considered a serious player a website needs to be in the top 100,000. However, when you take into account there are something like 16 billion web pages this is a step in the right direction.
