Leaving aside the more personal aspects to this question(!), am I the only one who always finds that the first time is the best time?
Whenever I go to a holiday destination, whether home or abroad, the first time around the beach was always prettier, the sun was always stronger and the sea was always bluer.
At a restaurant the first time around the food was always tastier, the waiters more attentive, and table always more intimate.
Why is this-does this just happen to me? If other people feel this way is there a psychological explanation? This keeps on happening to me and I don't know why. Let me know if you have any thoughts.

I think that it is just the "new ness" of it all!
The first time I went to Ocean City NJ I was just awestruck! The beach was so close - who knew that you could live a block away from the beach!
Now-a-days I still think the area is gorgeous but I'm more used to it now.
I have been think abut starting a blog for some time now, a few day ago I decided to go for it, this for me is the first time and it feels like i'm doing the rigt thing, i'm still trying to find my way around the best way to blast off.
